Creative Director and acting CEO of Melbourne Fringe, Danny Delahunty leads the 2026 festival running from 29 September to 18 October. This year’s program encourages audiences to “Turn Towards the Heat,” spotlighting experimental works across Deadly Fringe, Radical Access, Passport, XS, and Design Fringe, which marks its 40th year. The Opening Night Gala at the Capitol Theatre sets the tone with high‑energy performances and a preview of the season ahead. Festival hubs at Trades Hall and Meat Market will once again anchor the citywide celebration, with additional installations and regional programming expanding the festival’s reach.
