In this episode of the JSU Legacy Project podcast, we sit down with Mrs. Dale Gibbs, widow of Phillip Gibbs, Sr. Phillip and James Green were tragically killed on the JSU campus on May 15, 1970, when dozens of Jackson, MS city and state policemen unloaded more than 460 rounds of gunfire into Alexander Hall. The purpose of this podcast is to show the rich history of Jackson State University as a leader among HBCUs, its importance to the state and nation, and highlight historical milestones.
