Grief is something that never leaves you, especially when the loss happens on a special day like, say, Valentine’s Day.  Everyone experiences the loss of a loved one at some point in their lives. For people who died over 80 years ago, there will be few, if any, alive today who remember them. 

So if I can read their names out loud, then maybe somewhere in the universe, their lights will shine again, if only for a moment. Because, when there is no one left who remembers them, it’s hard to imagine they ever existed at all. But they did.
