Prof. Ode Ojowu, is the former chief executive of the National Planning Commission as well as an Economic Adviser to Nigeria's ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo from 2004 to 2005.

In academia, Ojowu was a professor of economics at the University of Jos as well as the head of the governing council of Benue State University,
