Recently Gwena (Ms. Walker) discovered that some of her students were listening to her podcast. While Ms. Walker is very careful not to proselityze, in this episode she briefly addresses her past, present and future students regarding the potential issue of domestic violence in their lives. Past students have confided to her that they had domestic violence situations within their own homes, which of course were reported. There is even another podcast where a former student anonymously shares her testimony of domestic violence on Grateful Gwena (Season 1 Episode 16, "Anonymous Guest Speaker"). In this podcast episode, Ms. Walker also shares how she began Grateful Gwena. Finally, she thanks her students for caring so much about her that they listened to her podcast to make sure she was okay when they knew she had covid. Ms. Walker is truly blessed by her students!
