It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Rav Nosson Farkash zt”l, R”M at Yeshiva Nachlas Dovid in Petach Tikva and one of the choshuve marbitzei Torah of the Ramat Elchonon neighborhood of Bnei Brak. He was 74.

In his youth, he learned at Yeshiva Be’er Yaakov, under Rav Moshe Shmuel Shapiro.

A great talmid chochom who was kind to all people and served as one of the rabbonim of Yeshiva Nachlas Dovid, Rav Nosson was a unique personality, combining unbridled ahavas haTorah, a wide breadth of Torah knowledge, and a personality that drew people in, as he touched them with his kindness and generous heart.

As one of the prominent residents of Ramat Elchonon, he was very close to the rov of the neighborhood, Rav Yitzchak Zilberstein.

He was also a close friend of Rav Yaakov Koledetsky, one of the senior rabbonim of Ramat Elchonon who passed away three years ago after contracting the Coronavirus.

He is survived by an outstanding family.

The levayah was held earlier at the Central Shul on Rechov Harav Sonnenfeld in Ramat Elchonon, followed by kevurah in Elad.

Yehi zichro boruch.
