Scripture: Isaiah 7:10- 17, Because we know that nothing good comes from us, it is common to wonder if obedience really matters. God took care of it all right? Yes, but there is a deep misunderstanding still of what we are striving for as Christians. What we are striving for is not success, but rather faithfulness. We strive to live faithfully to who we are in, Christ, and respond with thankful and faithful hearts on account of His goodness towards us. So, does it matter? Yes! And indeed God will come to judge us on the Last Day, but not judge based on how successful we are, but our faithfulness. Even this, however, is not our own. It was given to us as a free gift by the work of Christ alone.
