Scripture: Matthew 2:1-12, The Christmas story is a beautiful example of God's love and grace, yet every Christmas, the story stops short. The story of the other children of Bethlehem remains untold because it is too painful to bear. Herod's wickedness destroyed their lives for fear of losing his crown. Yet Christ didn't come to save the flesh or overcome earthly kingdoms, instead He came to save our very souls. He came to claim dominion over his heavenly kingdom and bring all people to himself where death and sin could not go. His flesh was crucified for us so that death and sin would no longer have the final say. We too have a heavenly, saving, revelation just like Mary and Joseph. Jesus has come and death is no more.
