The man who does not know Christ does not know his own life.
Many think that the fullness of life can be grasped by ones own effort and determination. People who think this way would not recognize true life if it were standing right in front of them.
John says, That which was from the beginningthe life was made manifest, and we have seen it. The 2nd person of the trinity has united himself with His own handiwork. The infinite is united with the finite, and life took on the weakness of the human form.
The incarnation of our Lord is the manifestation of life itself.
In the body and blood of Jesus the Life of God is made known to us tangibly. We have come into eternal life by water and the Word and are thus incorporated into the divine life of God.
We live by faith in Christ. If we walk in the light as he is in the light, the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sins.
How can we not make it our sacred desire to be drawn to the Lord of life? To study the scriptures and see how Life permeates each page? To reflect and ponder the Light of God?
Pray that the Holy Spirit would enlighten us, to transform us from one degree of glory to another.
