God speaks through the cosmos, the law, and Christ. The stars testify to his glory and all creation reveals his wonder and nature. His voice is also in his command, as perfect and true as he is, revealing his holy nature. The law brings joy and wisdom, refreshing the soul. Though we come to God by faith, the law guides us in the way that we ought to express our faith. We are free from the law as a system of salvation, for Christ fulfilled it, but when we ignore the law, it is like ignoring the voice of God: for to love him is to keep his commands. His commands are not a burden to box us in, but a way of life to restore our soul.
