Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus has come to give us abundant life. This is the introduction to the Book of Revelation in chapter 12. We begin with pulling back the curtain on God's Adversary. His name is Apollyon and his end is destruction. He is prowling around to devour anyone he can. But the victory of God in the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ has rendered Satan powerless in our lives. We are in Christ and share in His absolute authority over every power of the Accuser.
