Stem cell treatment is the big buzz now in orthopedics. I had a family member with great results with the arthritis of her hand. There are a lot of companies now providing stem cell treatment. Most of them offer stem cell treatment for stroke as well.
There are reputable (and not so reputable) companies providing stem cell treatment now for arthritis, stroke, and other disabling conditions. Stroke is the #1 cause of disabling disease in the US. It affects women more than men, and those greater than 65, at least 75% of the time. Stroke is now the #5 cause of death, down from #3 due to improvements in the major cause of stroke-- hypertension.
Atrial fibrillation is growing in importance. It's become clear that we need to improve the detection of paroxysmal (unknown, occasional) atrial fib. It's also clear that we need to have better methods of detection. I use iKARDIA, Alive Cor. (And I have no financial connection to this product.) I use it myself. I have 4Q25 the atrial fib gene. When I get a flutter, I check a rhythm strip on my iPhone.
