David Sinclair, Ph.D., a tenured faculty at Harvard, is one of the top anti-aging researchers in the world. He is renowned for his work on resveratrol, sirtuins, and NMN.

Resveratrol is a chemical found in red wine. It stimulates certain sirtuins, a family of proteins that have been shown to regulate lifespan, oxidative stress, and DNA damages. Thus, resveratrol appears to have anti-aging benefits, but one has to drink lots of glasses of red wine to get enough resveratrol.

Dr. Sinclair's team then discovered an analog of resveratrol called NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide). NMN is a precursor/booster of NAD, another key component of the animal cell's respiration, or metabolism.
