In this chapter we meet an unruly character named Alec Wilson who gets the sort of phone call NO brother relishes, the sort that turns his life upside down.

What happens to the family left behind to pick up the pieces of a tragic suicide? That is the question that haunted me the day I heard about a kid in my own neighborhood who'd used a shotgun to kill himself in own apartment, and thus this story was born. It gets heavy, but as in all of my writing, there is a silver lining and a happy ending no matter how unorthodox.
