Here's the setup: the reason Justin Lin brought Han back is because of the events of 'The Fate of the Furious' (directed by F. Gary Gray) in which Deckard is paired with the fast family to help track Dom, yet there seems to be little to no struggle given that he murdered Han. They simply move on, and of course at the end when Deckard delivers little Brian to Dom, they shake hands but no mention of Han.

So, with that being said, this theory goes off of the fact that Han is alive in F9. Perhaps Lin is keeping a lid on everything Mr. Nobody's been up to so they can later reveal that Deckard was ordered to take out Han's car in order to keep him off the grid so he can protect Project Aries. Basically a reworking of the storylines. But maybe Deckard didn't know Han wasn't actually in the car. The fast family would buy the whole thing because they took down Deckard's brother, Owen. But again, maybe Nobody had everything already planned so Deckard thought Han was in the car, but bleh there are some options they can go with but I would love to hear from you.

Should they even reference this again, show exactly how Han survived, etc. or do you just wanna move on?
