Mirror work (poor observations, failing to check mirrors) are among the top 5 reasons for failing a driving test. So we have prepared a short aid for remembering which mirrors you check

1. Change of speed - rear view
2. Change of direction - relevant door mirror (left for left move, right for right move)
3. Turning left / right - rear view, left mirror (for turning Left) with final check as you turn in left mirror (for cyclists etc)
4. New road - rear mirror and right
5. Stopping - on left - rear view (change of speed) and left mirror before you steer left . stopping on right - rear view and right mirror
6. Moving Off - at Traffic lights for example - (the rainbow check) left mirror, rear view mirror , right mirror.
