As her reporting internship was ending at the Houston Chronicle, Currie Engel reported that Harris County wants to implement a program that would look at how and where active COVID infection exists in Houston. Hopes are that the program would help officials better understand how the virus spreads within the region in real time, and then those findings would be used to help shape public health policy.
