Art critic Molly Glentzer says we actually have more access to the world's art now than before the shutdown because the world's art has been virtualized. Art lovers can enjoy the Paris Opera ballet or listen to the London Symphony Orchestra or watch films that you might not have had access to — on screens. We are missing the live experience of lingering in front of a painting or seeing a dance performance on stage. With restrictions in place, museums are beginning to open, but, Molly laments, "probably the last thing to come back in the art world will be the live theatres ... and who knows when they're coming back."
