God's word tells us to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus who endured the cross for the joy set before Him.

As I look upon the cross;
I'm counting the cost.
I realize just how much Christ gave;
His nail scarred hands; the empty grave.

As I lift my eyes toward the hills,
GOD'S amazing love is what I feel.
By His blood I've been redeemed;
Now a part of GOD'S righteous team!

As I take up my cross to follow my Lord,
I set my eyes on heaven's reward.

A college degree can't save me
The government can't save me
Money can't save me
Ministry can't save me
My parents can't save me
My talent or beauty can't save me
My good deeds can't save me
Friends can't save me
Tradition can't save me
My spouse can't save me
My dream house can't save me
My career can't save me

For God so loved others and me,
That He paid a great price on Calvary!

He was put to shame for you and I.
He was rejected, beaten, and crucified.
He carried my sorrow and my pain.
He did it for me that I may gain.

The greatest love that's ever been known,
Is found in Jesus Christ alone!
When adversity bangs on my door;
I remember the cross and what Jesus bore.

I stand in faith to the end;
Leaning totally on Jesus and not on men.
