Covid19 has changed the way we commemorate ANZAC day in Australia and New Zealand. But for Capt Gary Steer DON at Quilpie MPHS, this mornings Dawn service was extra strange. He has recently taken a position in Far south west Queensland as DON and whilst still a serving Military Nurse, he has his foot and heart in both theatres.
Gary served in East Timor (Timor Leste), Iraq and Afghanistan, in both peace keeping and combat front line nursing positions. Today I interview Gary about his experience, and honour him and all our current and ex-serving Medics and Nurses
Thank You Capt Gary Steer, your words are compassionate, and inspiring to all of us.
