Sally McRae is a world-renown trail runner, lifelong competitive athlete, coach, mom, writer, and businesswoman who ran her first ultra at the age of thirty and turned pro at thirty-three.
She has run some of the world's greatest ultra trail races, including Lake Sonoma 50, NorthFace Endurance Challenge, Western States, UTMB, Tarawera, and most recently, completing a 10-year dream to win the Badwater 135, which she did just last month.
On paper, this woman blows many out of the water. But what has held our attention over the years is her gratitude, honesty, and the graciousness with which she repeatedly reminds us all that we matter, our dreams matter and what sits on our hearts has a purpose, no matter what.
