Today is the 10th October and it’s world mental health awareness day this episode is all around depression. Around 264 million people across the world suffer with depression. Depression is a mental illness that is not visible to people it’s also a illness that people don’t wanna talk about because they feel embarrassed. On today’s episode I talk what is depression, what causes depression, how does depression affect the brain, what are the symptoms of depression and how depression is treated. I also interview Billy; Billy is a 26-year-old young man from Leeds in the United Kingdom who suffers from depression he wrote a very open and personal post on Facebook in Aug 2020 that went viral he’s helped so many people and encouraged them to reach out and get help around their depression. Billy talks about his depression how bad it got and what made him get help and what he is doing now to help others suffering from depression.
