Home rehabilitation projects funded by a Small Cities Development Program (SCDP) grant in Jasper have yet to begin. The city of Jasper has been working with Development Services Inc. (DSI), out of Ivanhoe, on the project since the summer of 2019, first to gauge interest in the rehabilitation program for low to moderate income homeowners and then apply for the funds. Jasper and the city of Magnolia applied for the grant together and were awarded 9,991 in 2020. The project goal is to rehabilitate 21 houses, including 16 in Jasper and five in Magnolia.
