Pipestone County is now two-thirds complete with its transition from a county-based water management plan to participating in the state’s One Watershed, One Plan (1W1P) initiative. The Pipestone Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) has adopted the Des Moines River Comprehensive Watershed Management Plan, and both the SWCD and the Pipestone County Board of Commissioners agreed the county should help create a plan for the Redwood River watershed.
