Producing more runs than a freshly painted barn on a humid day, the Pipestone Jr. American Legion baseball team gave Windom and Edgerton good battles in defeat at Saturday’s sub-state tournament at Redbird Field in Luverne. Though Pipestone ultimately bowed out of the tournament, concluding its season with losses of 15-12 and 8-6, respectively, there were many exciting turns of play in both contests.
