Next week a new school season begins. With it comes the homework, the activities, the times with friends, and of course a solid dose of reading, writing, and arithmetic. For many, especially the younger students, each day will begin and end with a commute on foot or pedal bike to the nearest bus stop or the school. This commute will have them crossing busy intersections and navigating residential sidewalks or streets.
