Danielle Thompson became the newest member of the Pipestone City Council during the council’s Jan. 16 meeting. She fills the council seat left vacant by the resignation of Justin Schroyer, who left the council at the end of December to take on the role of Pipestone Economic Development Authority director. Thompson was one of four people who completed an affidavit of candidacy expressing interest in filling the vacant council seat. The others were Travis Lund, Michael Wussow and Jennifer Cronin.
