Robin Schulte recently opened a longarm quilting studio, called The Lofty Stitch, in her Pipestone home. The Brookings native said the quilting business is her “side hustle” for now and her full-time job is with Pathward, a corporate bank in Sioux Falls. Her goal is to eventually build up a client base, retire from her financial services career and focus on quilting. Schulte said she’s been interested in quilting for many years, but was hesitant to take it on while she was raising her family.
