Pipestone Area Schools (PAS) Board members during their Dec. 20 meeting approved a 2022 property tax levy of ,507,895.92, which is a decrease of 4,946.97, or 4.75 percent, from the 2021 levy. It is the maximum amount the school district could levy based on state funding formulas that allow school districts to levy for a variety of specific purposes based on several factors, including tax capacities, market values, student counts and more.
