Puckett was born February 10, 1938, to Russell and Minnie Puckett at Canata Basin in the Badlands, and spent most of his life on his ranch east of Sharps Corner, SD. He passed away in Bennington, NE on May 23, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Phil is survived by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Vinnie.
