MARTIN – On Saturday, about 50 people joined together to walk from Sunrise homes to the Martin city park, wearing red t-shirts to show awareness on family violence and missing and murdered Indigenous people. Red silhouettes were crafted to be carried as a visual representation of women, men and children murdered in acts of domestic violence and for Indigenous people who have gone missing or murdered. At the city park a meal was served for the walkers. The event was sponsored by Sacred Shawl Shelter and Wild Horse Butte Community Development Corporation.
