Alexander Griggs, of Tipton, graduated from the Lincoln University of Missouri Law Enforcement Training Academy on Dec. 16. Griggs is a member of the second graduating class to complete Lincoln's program. Lincoln launched the training center earlier this year, the first historically Black college and university to house its own police academy. Cadets receive hands-on, practical training in a variety of situations including domestic violence calls, traffic stops, burglary scenarios, crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
