For a decade and a half, the Community Cafe has provided meals for those in need. What was started by a high school student continues through student leadership and community support.  Kristen Allcorn, now known as Dr. Kristen Allcorn Killen M.D. of Springfield, opened Sedalia’s Community Café 15 years ago. Currently, Smith-Cotton High School teacher Jay Lutjen oversees the student-run project.
