Wednesday afternoon, a mock vehicle accident took place at Smith-Cotton High School to warn students about the consequences of distracted or drunk driving.  Mangled cars were placed in the parking lot, and student actors played injured and even dead accident victims. “We’re teaming up together to put on this presentation,” Sedalia Fire Inspector Jamie Volk said. “We have Sedalia Police Department, Pettis County Ambulance District, the Sedalia Fire Department and Bothwell ER staff coordinating with us to make this event happen today.
