On Wednesday morning, Smith-Cotton Junior High students ran a lemonade stand outside of the school in honor of Vivian Meyer.  Sixth-grade math teacher Ashley Kruse said that her summer school students have been working on ratios and proportions so in the first week of summer classes they spoke about perfecting a lemonade recipe.  “They did a whole taste testing thing,” Kruse said. “They learned real quickly that too much lemons make the lemonade too tart and too much sugar makes its way too sweet so they figured out their ratios there.” During the second week of summer school, the class...
