Reading From the Sacred Texts

  • Our favorite non-RPGs that use RPG mechanicsSmooth423 - Hear me out......Minecraft. Do you think Minecraft is a non-rpg with RPG mechanics? The Minecraft books make it seem so too. Also the Minecraft Audiobook with Jack Black - Minecraft: The Island is a great listen. I highly recommend it.

Ngachacha @ngachacha - Golf Story is definitely one of my favorites! It is a fantastic golf game with rpg mechanics like leveling up specific golf skills and optional side quests. Nintendo needs to shadow drop Sports Story at the next Nintendo Direct!

SkinnyMatt @skinnymattk - I was curious about how you feel about “buying” your skills in a skill tree? Specifically for a game like Yakuza 0. I’m on the fence about buying your skills, but personally I feel Yakuza does it very well because it allows you to customize to your play style.
