Kathryn Campbell teaches Criminology at the University of Ottawa. She received her PHD in Criminology from the University of Montreal and received her LLB from McGill University. Kathryn’s research covers several areas, including wrongful convictions, animals and the law, indigenous justice, and youth justice. In addition to her academic schedule, Kathryn is the director of Innocence Ottawa, a pro-bono and student run innocence project that helps the wrongfully convicted apply for conviction review to the Minister of Justice.

Kathryn is also the author of “Miscarriages of Justice in Canada: Causes, Responses, Remedies” a wonderful and informative book on miscarriages of justices and wrongful convictions in Canada.
