Kent Roach is a professor of law and Prichard Wilson Chair of Law and Public Policy at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto and Yale. He is a former law clerk of the Supreme Court of Canada. Kent is the author of numerous books, many of which have won awards, on issues and topics that include Constitutional rights, matters of criminal law, and national security and terrorism. Kent’s awards and recognitions include awards for teaching and writing, a 2015 appointment to the order of Canada, and in 2016 being named one of the top 25 influential lawyers in Canada for the change maker category.
