Admit it. All of us feel a sense of awe when we meet someone who has the title of CEO. The power, the salary, and the chance to make the big decisions that impact entire organizations. It is truly a title worthy of our respect and admiration. This being said, why is contacting a CEO like getting into to see the Wizard of Oz? Why do we hear of organizations failing due to lack of C-level leadership ? It is too bad that so few CEOs are actually good at what they do. In fact, only 1 in 20 CEOs are in the top 5%. Simply put, most do not know what their job should be. Of the few of those that do, even less can actually pull it off.
