To most, just the thought of losing a parent is devastating. Children grow up or at least should grow up, seeing their parents as Superman or Wonder Woman. These beings, larger than life, who have all the answers, who protect and inspire. The loss of a parent can be a devastating collapse of a central figure or pillar in their life that can take months, years, or even a lifetime to recover from. And occasionally, some never do. The problem is I can’t speak from experience only from observation.
