Episode Notes: When Kindness is Misunderstood. (1 Chronicles 19)

Someone once said that no good deed will go unpunished.

The concept dates back to the 12th century in Walter Map’s ‘De Nugis Curialium’. This early usage reflects a cynical view of morality, contrasting with conventional wisdom that good deeds are rewarded and evil deeds punished, as expressed by Thomas Aquinas in Summa Theologica

That’s clearly somewhat sceptical, but there are times when you do something right, and it's misunderstood as being something wrong.

Have you ever had that happen to you? Well, today I want to tell you a story about somebody in the Bible who had that happen to them and what he did about it.
