Ahmed Guessoum, one of the most prominent algerian scientists in the field of artificial intelligence. he got his "ingéniorat" degree in USTHB then went ahead and got his Masters of Science in computer science from the University of South California and then got his PhD in the same field from the University of Bristol in the uk.
