Benjamin Earl “Bugsy” Scruggs, 89, passed away Sept. 3, 2022 at his home in Lugoff, S.C. He was born in Meriden, Miss. to Wiley Hugh Scruggs and Ora Edna Eubanks Smith. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Bremerton CA-130 Cruiser and retired from International Paper where he was the materials manager. He was past president of the Industrial Material Manager Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and was an avid Alabama Football fan.
