46 years agoSept. 30, 1976 Vandals, a drug pusher and an escaped prisoner make up the news around Thomasville this week. Monday afternoon, Ronnie Slaughter, black, of Fulton attempted to make a sale of controlled substance to Buddy Meeks in Meek’s Western Auto Store on West Front Street. When Meeks told him that he was going to call the Sheriff’s Office, Slaughter ran through the front glass door at Meek’s store and escaped.
