Viewers watching WTOK recently might have recognized a familiar face at the weekend news desk. Christen Hyde, a Thomasville native, was anchoring the news for the first time, and she made her hometown very proud. Christen is the daughter of Cheryl and Terry Hyde. She attended Thomasville’s schools, graduating in 2011. She completed her associate’s degree at Coastal Alabama and her BA in journalism at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa. “At Stillman, my teachers taught me to write for reporting,” she explained.
