Looking Back29 years agoOctober 14, 1993 Courthouse workers were startled and alarmed Tuesday morning to hear gunfire outside their windows. A Jackson man seeking refuge from an adversary with a rifle wasn’t quite fast enough to escape injury Tuesday morning. Eldridge Jackson, 41, was shot in the parking lot behind the Clarke County Courthouse in Grove Hill as he attempted to get inside.
