A little over a week ago the citizens of Grove Hill and Thomasville gathered to watch our annual, local rendition of a High School Football “Backyard Brawl.” There have been over a hundred renewals of this rivalry since 1917. The outcome is a source of bragging rights for the victors and cries of “Wait until next year” for the rest.
