Covert E. “Pete” Parnell III,, of Rancho Mirage, Calif. died at his home Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022, following a lengthy illness. He was the former General Counsel of Home Savings of America, FSB and a key member of the executive team of H.F. Ahmanson & Company, which owned Home Savings. He was born July 21, 1946, in Mobile to Covert E. Parnell Jr. and Wilhelmina Muckelrath Parnell, who predeceased him. His sister, Wilhelmina Parnell Pirtle, predeceased him.
