Thomasville firefighters responded to a grease fire at the Hardee’s restaurant on Highway 43 about 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18. FireC Chief Richard Pugh said the suppression system on the stove knocked the fire back and there was no damage. Firemen did check the building out thoroughly, he said. It has been a busy year with the department answering 101 calls so far. Pugh urged everyone to be careful with space heaters during cold weather.
