Melvin Smith, 90 years old, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Feb. 13, 2023. He served in the US Navy and worked in shipping and textiles at Simplex. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Vena Smith; grandson, Jared Colby Parker and greatgranddaughter, Zoey Kathryn Marion.
